since this is all happening underground, where light sources are unusually absent, sight isn't a necessary quality. the order of the molerats (and groundhogs) use their highly attuned sense of vibrations and air movements through subterranean tunnels to find the order of the duck.

more ducks then missles, atleast 2 ducks (1 male, 1 female) are left alive and they hide in a hidden aclove far away from the missle sites and reproduce many new ducklings
